I'm looking for a coconut layer cake recipe - one that includes coconut in the cake batter and REAL icing - not the egg white/fluffy icing. I can't find one. Thanks!

i understand that salt can inhibit yeast activity. recently bought a new jar of yeast. was making a loaf of bread and measured the amount of salt to add then i used the same spoon to measure the yeast. is it possible some salt got into my jar of yeast and is now inhibiting the activity? i notice subsequent loaves of bread are not as high as previous loaves. or is the problem with the yeast? i use bread machine instant yeast

About twice in the last four years I've gotten really sick from eating beef cooked in a crockpot. All I can recall is that it was cooked on high for about 4-6 hours, looked cooked all the way through, and tasted fine. But I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's a proper cooking process to use in case I undercooked it or similar mishap.

Does anyone know where I can find an "electronic" recipe organizer. I don't really want a computer program. What I am looking for would be hand held or a little bigger that recipes could be entered into an then brought up on a screen rather than cataloging them into the computer and then having to print them all out and place them into a book. Any suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks!!

I am making a pecan pie that calls for egg yolks in the cooked filling using the egg whites for a meringue. I would prefer to use the whole egg if possible and not make the meringue. Would I just cut down on the amount of eggs used?
