Buttermilk or sour milk (1 cup) 1 cup yogurt or 1 cup whole milk + 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon vinegar or 1 ¾ teaspoons cream of tartar.

Try adding a half teaspoon to the 3/4 cup of milk. If that isn't enough ad several drops more.

Add a teaspoon. Let it set out for 20 to 30 minutes in a warm place. It will be sour, guaranteed.

I'm no expert, but I'd think probably 1/3 vinegar - 2/3 milk

1 tablespoon lemon juice per cup of milk
you could get away with 2 teaspoons. let it set about 5 minutes

IF you're using vinegar start with 1 teaspoon I think it's more acidic than lemon juice
