Overly processed food with tons of preservatives, is never a good thing. pancakes are very simple to wip up from scaartch, only a few extra ingredients are needed, it is defiently worth it to do it yourself!

Pancake mixes usually contain trans-fats (look for partially hydrogenated oils in ingredient list; they are there even though nutritional facts claim 0g trans fat). I'd rather take extra 5 minutes to prepare pancakes from scratch with butter instead of shortening. It is not good either, but lesser of two evils.

They're probably not very good for you. But if you want to make them taste better, add berries or jam to the mix when it's on the griddle. Use real maple syrup if possible too.

With from scratch recipes you know what goes into your mix. Mixes however contain additives and fats that are not good for you. So, I would have to say yes.

As long as you don't over-indulge (like anything else!), there's no particular harm in making them from a mix, and it's certainly easier than preparing them from scratch.

Honey, anything from a box or can is going to be "bad" for you. If you're worried about something being bad for you then just buy stuff "organic."

They aren't good for you...you could make them from scratch using healthy grains of your liking if you are concerned for your health. Only whole grained food is good anything else, pasta, bread not made of that isn't the best for you.
