For as long as I can remember, my mum has cooked veges in the microwave thinking it is alright, but my boyfriend (a chef) believes that it ruins their nutrients and refuses to eat veges if I cook them this way. Who is right?

Ok, so I have an already cooked chicken (steamed and salted) by my parents. Is there a recipe out there or method (ovening or otherwise) that is available that works with an already cooked chicken?

Think roasting it in the oven will still turn it into a favorable 'roasted' chicken?

I'm not Italian but having lived with an Italian family for a few years, I became very fond of Italian cooking, especially the sauce that goes with pasta. Here is the way I make it. Please tell me if my recipe would meet with your satisfaction. Brown 2 pork chops in olive oil, 2 cloves garlic, add 2 cans crushed tomatoes, 1 can tomato sauce, 1 or 2 cans tomato paste, 2 bay leaves, 1 tsp sugar, maybe a pinch oregano. Cook slowly for a couple of hours. Sometimes I make bracioli (cubed steak rolled up with thin slices garlic and tied with thread) and brown this with chops. Mmmm. What would a few anchovies do?

I have a ailment and was wondering whether to buy some chicken soup today. I can get it in a packet as dry powder - and it is thick soup. I prefer this to tinned chicken soup.

What do you think?

It will be summer time & we dont really think its a great idea to fill the kids up with sugay snacks (there will be about 40 of them so...) & there is two children attending who are allergic to nuts. We are thinking fruit & jelly but how to make it appealing to kids who are between the ages of 5 to 8?
Any healthy ideas is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for your answers :o)
