I signed up to bring a main dish for the holiday potluck that we are having at the elementary school that I work at. It has to be enough for about 12-15 servings. I want to do some type of meat. Someone is already bringing a ham. I will have access to an oven but limited time to dedicate to cooking anything during the school day. So, Iam looking for something I can make early that morning or the evening before. I do not want to do fried Chicken or a casserole. Any ideas? I want something that is somewhat traditional or European.

if you get a lot of Lobster and want to freeze them for eating them at a later date can you just cut the tail off while they are alive and freeze them or do you have to boil each one of them whole then freeze them. We plan on buying several dozen of them but are limited to the space we have in the small freezer. All we want to do is to store the tails only. How do the markets prepare and sell only the tails ?? Are they already cooked or raw??

I tried to look for recipes on the web and "how to cook" questions on Yahoo! answers, but they seem quite perplex. For some reason, I feel reluctant to cook and just need a nice simple start. So any suggestions?

I have a recipe for chocolate chip cookies and for Christmas presents I plan to back them for my friends but use M&Ms instead of chocolate chips. Will they still turn out ok?

My fiance and I have invited about 20 people over, and I want some new and interesting party food ideas. The simpler the better, but I am a reliable cook, so I willing to be adventurous.

P.S. I know you're going to ask, I'm turning 38.

Does anyone know of a web site where you can enter ingredents and the site offers some recipe ideas using those ingredents as the main ingredents? Like rice and onions, for example?

I don't get it. Every time I make hot chocolate the marshmallows dissappear when I stir the powder into the hot water. What's the point in even buying the kind with the marshmallows? GRR! Does this happen to anyone else?
