My fiance and I have invited about 20 people over, and I want some new and interesting party food ideas. The simpler the better, but I am a reliable cook, so I willing to be adventurous.

P.S. I know you're going to ask, I'm turning 38.

I'm especially attracted to savory appetizers.

Bless you, Stan! I agree with you, but c'est la vie, I think the food's going to fall to me. It's ok, though, I enjoy feeding my friends.

Happy Birthday!!

This is my all time favorite for a group. I put together a cheese, fruit and bread platter. Various cheeses, this gives me a chance to try gourmet style cheeses. Apples, pears, berries & grapes make a nicely colored addition. Small party breads or crusty french loaves can be found at any deli counter or bakery. I simply put out the tray with small plates and napkins.

Have a great party.

Pizza is continually a sturdy %.! If $$ is an argument, sloppy joes can feed a crowd at little cost and are a breeze to make ( I cause them to with hamburger, garlic salt, various of blk pepper, and about a million/2 cup of cream of wheat for say 4lbs of hamburger-cook dinner the beef and upload all of it to a crock pot on low for some hrs.) Fried fowl-get more advantageous drumsticks for the little ones. Get some gentle rolls and some deli meats and cheeses and characteristic sandwiches. warm dogs. Corn dogs. Tacos are difficulty-free for activities-in simple terms positioned the beef in a crock pot to shop warmth and characteristic toppings, not difficulty-free and gentle shells, and corn chips in case the little ones want nachos! clean fruit salad and various of "munchies" on the area. And CAKE!

By right's you're the one who should be served, not the one whose serving. I suggest a good cheesecake or even a good filled cake- perhaps chocolate mouse (I mean chocolate mousse filled) cake. But you need dinner first- I suggest cranberry bread,
corn pudding and enchiladas. Yum! Have a happy birthday, young lady!
