Going food shopping tonight so gimme some ideas. Bored with chicken. Here's what I don't eat; cheese, eggs, fish, mushrooms so a cheesy fish, mushroom omlette is out of the question.

This year is my first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner at my home. I would like it to be a memorable experience for my family but I am all out of ideas other then the usual turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes! I looked online for recipes but nothing seems to be easy! I don’t cook for myself, I eat takeout day and night so I really need dishes that wont be too difficult and ones that taste good. Thanks in advance,
Jessica

I found a recipe for beef stew, but it was to be cooked in checken broth, not beef. I used to work in a small fast food section of a conviance store and they always warned us about not cooking hamburgers in the same containers as chicken because of cross-contamination. So is it safe to cook beef in chicken broth?

My wife does a lot of baking for friends and is unsure if some of the things she puts in the fridge really need to be. For instance, cheesecake. How do you know if something needs to be refrigerated? Thanks.

I have heard that deep fried turkey's are the best. I haven't ever tried on, but I'm considering making one this year. I don't have a big enough deep fryer for a turkey. Does it take a special kind? Can you deep fry it in the oven? How long does it take to cook? I want to make a good one! Should I put one in the oven and cook it the normal way as a back up? I have lots of people coming for dinner so I have to have it turn out!

Help! I just made an absolutely delicious apple pie. It was perfect, except that it fell apart when I sliced it. Any suggestions to make it stick together?

Please tell me what is your favorite sandwich. How do you make it.... and where are you from. This is important, because most people on the east coast like specific sandwiches. So I am trying to show trends in foods. For instance, most people may not know about the pork tenderloin sandwich unless they lived, or visited the midwestern states.

Thanks for your answers!

My partner says she's fed up cooking the same old meals night after night but she won't cook a recipe the Duke of Albi once gave me. Flattened chicken breast, floured and fried in butter to seal. Casserole dished with slice of Gruyere cheese and little white wine in the oven until cheese melts. Served with new potatoes and broccoli. Truffle shavings on chicken. Anyone had it and can recommend it? p.s. She won't let me near her brand new kitchen.

I am making a big Thanksgiving dinner and I wont have very much help.
It seems I always run into problems when I make mashed potatoes.
I never know how small to cut the potato to boil and I never know how long to boil. And to mash I usually use my handheld mixer..sometimes the potatoes taste like I boiled too long and are not creamy

Who can tell me how to make perfect mashed potatoes that will be a hit at my house this year?
