Please tell me what is your favorite sandwich. How do you make it.... and where are you from. This is important, because most people on the east coast like specific sandwiches. So I am trying to show trends in foods. For instance, most people may not know about the pork tenderloin sandwich unless they lived, or visited the midwestern states.

Thanks for your answers!

I love steak sandwiches! Throw some olive oil in a cast iron skillet with some onions and bell peppers, then add some sliced or small button mushrooms and thinly sliced steak. Fry it up until the meat is cooked and the onions are clear, then divy it out onto grilled hoagie rolls and put some provolone on it.

I also like Reuben sandwiches, with just a bit of thousand island and a little bit of horseradish; and french dips.

I have lived in SW MO my whole life, which has a fair deal of German influence on the cooking. It is near the Ozarks, so there are a lot of smoked meats, and BBQ.

I live in Puerto Rico, a popular sandwich here is called a Cubano, it's Deli ham, fresh ham, swiss cheese, sliced pickles and a sauce made from mayonaise and mustard served on "pan Criollo" which is similar to french bread. The sandwich is assembled and then heated and squashed down a bit in a sandwich press. It's absolutely delicious.

Personally? I like to make my husband and anyone who's visiting my breakfast sandwhiches. First I mix up a few eggs and put a dash of milk in it. Then I totally cover two slices of bread in the eggs, like french toast. When those are done on each side, I put a sausage patty and a fried egg with or without melted cheese on it. Sonic burger has the same thing, but I've been doing this for years. Either way, it's great!

Beef Tri-Tip (no bbq sauce) on sourdough with green leaf lettuce, red onions, mustard and a little horseradish. I am originally from California but now live in Virginia and have yet to find a tri-tip cut of beef here on the east coast.

Okay when I lived in Long Beach, Cal.. We used to go to this place called Micky's.. It was a very "Popular" subsandwich place for all of us high school kids to go to for lunch.. anyhoo, they made this "FABULOUS" avocado/turkey sub sand, right. Well, I no longer live in Cal. So, every once in a Blue moon, I'll make these for my family.. The ingredients are: Sub Bread (good), avocado's mayo, mustard(optional), freshly cut turkey from the deli... Smoked turkey preferably.. tomatoe, bean sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce (optional) and a tad of Zesty Italian.. Just for a tad of Pazaz!! And you have thee healthiest sub-sand, you could ever want.. You can also add other meats. For my ex, I used to add tuna, and cheese, on his.. Oh, for the ones me & my kids like Jack cheese also. Not the cheap sliced kind either. Good Monterey Jack!! YUMMO!!!!! Enjoy!!
