I went to a hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC. They had that cheezy breakfast in the lobby thing, but the pancakes were killer. I have no idea what kind they were but it wasn't regular pancake mix. It was almost like somekind of wheat or something. I miss those pancakes!

I am looking for a more sophisticated green bean casserole recipe than the one typically found on the soup can and/or fried onion can.

Wondered if anyone had experimented with fresh "long" green beans OR created a different mushroom base and or found a way to incorporate different ingredients.

Looking to bring this to a Thanksgiving meal for 10-12 folks.

Thanks.

So my Grandmother in South Dakota used to make something called scalped corn. Which I think is an american derivitive for "escalloped corn". Sure I've seen versions but I am wondering how it is made....... it had cans of cream corn, maybe some whole corn, milk and saltine crackers. I'm thinking there is someone who knows how to make it!

I've looked online for lots of great clam chowder recipes, ive found a good one but none had the ingredient of vinegar. I used it to get that tangy flavor before at different restaurants, but I'm not sure what it was. Was it red wine vinegar? was it that other dark vinegar that i dont know the name of? Maybe it was white wine? Can someone help? I'll except new recipes for homemade clam chowder too! thanx!

Does anyone have a recipe for Jamaica Pasty? My local fish and chip shop used to sell them, but no longer do so. They have a fairly bright yellow pastry and a spicy filling. Thanks.

I don't know how to cook. For the thanksgiving, I want to try the fry turkey from KFC. Has anyone tried that ? Was it any good ?

In the past, I ususally buy the whole turkey dinner from supermarket chain. I want to see if there are any other options around 50 bucks.

I need some really superb recipes that are, well, superb. I am always looking for new spins on things and if anyone have any really great ideas, I am all ears.

Just making sure that I keep my options open, as I have most of the meal planned.

Also, I am an pretty good in the kichen,so give me some tough ones! I just don't like packaged things, so fresh is best for me.

Thanks everyone!
