Quite probably so. This could be very dangerous, especially if the glass is fragile (Coffee pot type) and could shatter. Even thick casserole dishes made for the oven might break or crack into several pieces under these conditions. This is a strange question. If you have done it, you obviously know the answer. If you are planning to do it, what does that say about you? Be careful.

Yes. One time I pulled a warm glass out of the dish washer and put ice in it and it broke.

Most Glass bakeware is tempered to avoid this exact problem, but still unless you like buying new bakeware allot it is better to let the pan cool before putting it in water.
