Would you like to roast a chicken with no effort?
Here's how:
buy a whole frozen chicken.
buy a box of kosher salt or coarse sea salt.
Take the chicken out of the bag and defrost it.
Take out the bag with the innards out of the body cavity
Trim off the rear end
Fill a brownie pan (9in x 9in) with the salt, to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep.
Stand the chicken on the salt so that the big hole is facing the salt, the rear end is against a side of the pan and the drumsticks are pinting toward the corners of the pan.
Preheat the oven to 350.
Cook the chicken for 2.5 hours.
No seasoning needed. If you like, cover it in pepper and/or garlic salt.
When you take out the pan, remove the chicken and lay it flat on a tray. Discard the salt and fat slurry at the bottom of the pan.
Done

If desert is an option, make Rice Krispie Treats (some call it marshmellow treats). Go to your local supermarket and buy a box of Rice Krispies Cereal. On the side of the box is the rest of the ingredients. Typically, marshmellows and butter, but I don't know everything off the top of my head. This involves no baking and you can even melt the marshmellows in the microwave and there is no need for a stove at all!!
If desert is provided, then make Macaroni and Cheese. Everyone likes a good serving of macaroni, just make sure to make it extra cheesy!

In a large baking dish or disposable aluminum pan put:
1lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, cut into thick slices
1 green pepper, cut into chunks
1 onion, cut in half, then sliced up
3 large (28 oz) cans Bush's baked beans - any flavor - my favorite is the brown sugar one
Stir this about a bit, then bake it, uncovered at 350 for about an hour. You can even use frozen onions and green peppers diced in those bags if you don't want to chop them up yourself. This thickens as it stands. Cover it tight to transport it. You can also make it the evening before, keep it in fridge overnight, warm it in crockpot at work next day.

BLT Salad
1 12-16 oz package bacon
1 head romaine lettuce
2 roma tomatoes
1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds
1/3 cup milk
2/3 cup mayo
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
Cut bacon into bite size pieces, fry until crisp and drain on paper towels. Mix milk, mayo, garlic powder and pepper together then refrigerate. Chop lettuce and tomato into bite size pieces. Before serving, combine all together, toss, serve! The trick is to keep the bacon and seeds separate until ready to serve because they get soggy--I've taken this to work countless times and it's a huge hit.
