I saw them in a store today and was curious how they would be prepared. Must be a southern thing. Being a yankee, new to the south, I have no idea...didn't know people ate things like this.

My aunt makes a homemade teriyaki sauce that is to die for as a marinade or sauce. However, she does not give out the recipe!!! Not even to her husband. I suppose the recipe will die with her. They live a long ways from me, and whenever I go visit, I have to have some dishes with it. Can anybody give me a recipe that will maybe come close to what she makes. IT is sweet, tastes and smells of garlic, and is a bit syrupy in viscosity. I have never found anything that even comes close in a store. Help!!!!

I am 42 yrs old and my heart doctors nurse called me the other day to tell me to start taking a daily fish oil capsule and he would re check my lipid profile in 3 months. It all sounds kinda vague to me. I do not have a clue how to read the fat/polyunsaturated/cholesterol part of a food label. I would appreciate suggestions.
I am not stupid, but never had to think about this kind of stuff before.

That doesn't require a hard-core deep-fat fryer?

Could I use a pot of hot oil on a stovetop?

Thank you, Happy Answering.

I think mine is macaroni and cheese. Homemade is best, but boxed will do in a pinch. I could probably live without sweets, but I could NEVER live without cheesy, salty food.

I don't really like/eat meat. I eat a little chicken....maybe tuna...but thats it..no ham or turkey or beef or any of that. I'm pretty hungry but I don't want to go out too much...and I don't really want to heat the house up too much. Give it your best shot!

I am making a shepards pie recipe that I saw on Paula Deans Down Home cooking today... The pie has biscuits on top. She didnt add chese to them but said that you could to make it cheesy. Now I want to do that but do you think Ragu cheese from the Jar or shredded cheese would work best??

I have this great recipe for a tart and I don't have a tart pan. Is a tart pan about as deep as a pie pan? Will all of the ingredients fit into a pie pan the same as they would a tart pan? Will I ruin my recipe by trying a pie pan instead?
