I saw them in a store today and was curious how they would be prepared. Must be a southern thing. Being a yankee, new to the south, I have no idea...didn't know people ate things like this.

Delicious Chicken Feet
This is an adopted recipe that grabbed my heart. Chicken feet can be found in most Asian markets for less than 50 cents a pound. They work very well in stock too.
12 chicken feet, declawed and skinned
3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine
3 slices ginger
3 green onions
1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
star anise
1 piece orange rind
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pint water
1 batch

1. Combine all ingredients and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

I've never prepared or eaten them ... never even knew you could. but it sure seems like it would take an awful lot of them to fill a body up :O) But this is coming from another yankee.

Believe it or not, here is a recipe that uses chicken feet ... and it is appropriately called 'Delicious Chicken Feet':

or if you prefer Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce, here's another recipe:

I don't think people eat them, but I've seen them used to add flavor to chicken soup.
