Mace, allspice or how about a little pumpkin pie seasoning. Most everyone has that.
hey don't use cumin like the person above said...it is an entirely different taste.
And if you buy nutmeg buy whole and grate it with a fine grater yourself. You will never go back to powdered. I swear!

Nutmeg sounds yucky in quiche. Just leave it out. I never put any in my quiche.
