Hi, I had this salad at a party, but didn't find out who brought it, to ask them for the recipe. It was so good!
It was a cold broccoli salad, with a kind of creamy/sweet dressing on it. There was definitely bacon and raisins. There might have been some nuts in it too? Does anyone have a similar recipe? It was so good, I could have eaten the whole bowl! :) Thanks

it's a pot that has a lid that seals like a pressure cooker, but the 'steam' is not hot, it is cool. Also you can put in frozen ground beef, pasta, and sauce and when it is done cooking, you have a meal in a pot. it showed different meals made with frozen chicken, etc. the cooking time is cut in half, or close to it.

so who is everyones idol when it comes to cooking?

Mine have to be Jamie Oliver for his no nossence work and easy to make recepies, I try and model myself on him in that way.
but my other one is Gorden Ramsay, another great chef that doesn't take crap in the kitchen and his cooking is simply marvelous.

these guys are my reasons for wanting to get into the hospitality industry within australia/new zealand.

so who does everyone else like?
also put in responses whether you're into hospitality and if the above is why!

I would like to buy an oven safe deep bowl type dish (preferably with lids) that holds about 4 cups. I am wanting to fill them with chili and then top with cornbread mix and bake. Im just not having any luck finding what I want. So I guess my Q is," What are these vessels called and where can I buy some?"

So I have an electric ice cream maker that I received as a gift... and I'm totally psyched cause I've found a GREAT recipe! I have to layer the outside of the ice cream can with layers of ice and rock salt....first of all, in the middle of July, I can't find rock salt ANYWHERE... I've called SO MANY places! Where can I find this? And WHY do I need it? Don't people use rock salt on their driveways to MELT the ice? I'm confused... if I layer the rock salt and the ice, won't it MELT the ice and it won't stay as cold as long? Thanks in advance if you know the answer to this...

Whenever I try to make simple bread it seems to become very hard and maybe use a chisel/hammer to cut open, so where am I going wrong too much yeast? it simply wont rise even after all the advice on the net I keep it for 4 to 5 hours on butter paper and all that, you make bread at home?! You please tell me how its done properly!
Thanks a lot,
Yaz
