well, if you have:

eggs, white sugar, butter, all-purpose flour, and milk... you can make a tosca cake with glaze! (makes 8 servings)

needed for cake:
2/3 c butter/margarine
2 eggs
2/3 c sugar
3/4 c flour

directions: melt butter and cool. beat eggs and sugar til smooth and fluffy. add flour, beat. stir in butter. pour in lightly greased and floured 8-inch pan and bake at 350 for 30 mins.

needed for glaze:
4 Tbsp sugar
1/4 c butter/margarine
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp flour
(small amount of almonds or any kind of nuts - optional)

directions: combine all ingredients except for nuts and boil. remove cake from oven and spread glaze. sprinkle nuts and bake another 10 minutes.

i've made this numerous times and everyone seems to enjoy it. i personally don't care for it but it requires so little ingredients and simple - and again, everyone else loves it.
