I defrosted meat and decided to go out to eat instead of cooking. When I went to put the meat back in the freezer me friends told me that I'm not supposed to do that. Why?

I'm no pastry chef but I saw an episode of Good Eats where Alton Brown made eclairs and creampuffs and I really want to try! I tried to find them at Bed Bath & Beyond but they looked at me like I was asking if they had crack. The only ones I've found online so far are expensive professional ones, and I'd prefer to find them in a store. Please help!

I've googled it and searched a couple websites for a good peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie recipe, but I thought I would take advantage of this wonderful forum to see what all you lovely people had in your books and recipe bins. I used an allrecipes.com recipe last time I made peanut butter cookies and they were good, but they didn't have the texture that I like.

I like those cookies you buy in the package, break apart and bake and would like to be able to recreate them as best I can homemade. I don't want them to be crunchy, like the type you would dunk in milk, but I don't want them too soft either.

If you think you've got the recipe for me please share it! The one I choose to make will be awarded with a best answer after I make them Friday night (the 23rd) and conduct a taste test. :) Thanks!

Note: I've got two sticks of butter in the bowl softening as we speak and want to the recipe to yield about 4 dozen since I'm going to be sharing them with friends and family.
