Regular Bag: 2 pounds = 4 cups

On Jupiter with its intense gravitational field approx 1/4 tsp. would actually weigh one pound. If you are on another planet results may be different.
Seriously; as usual people are answering questions that they know nothing about. Below is the URL to an online conversion calculator. As everyone can see the answer is 2.27 cups of granulated sugar to 1 pound. I count 2.25 cups as a correct answer.
You other posters need to learn the difference between liquid measure and dry measure. Do you really think that one cup of lead weighs 8 ounces? How about one cup of air, does that weigh 8 ounces also? Give me a break!!!
P.S. Please note that 1 cup of granulated sugar is a different weight than 1 cup of powdered sugar.

Well, since a cup is 8oz and a pound is 16oz, I would be inclined to say 2.
