you could do both...you can braise on the stove top or in the oven!

cooking stuffing is better if cook it on the stove until done and then what i do is put in a cake pan and put in the oven so the stuffing get a crisp on it so it is not so mus hie . it is easier to make a stuffing sandwich when it not falling apart.
