OK just bought a couple of frying steaks (got a mate coming round later and I'm going to try and impress him with my culinary prowess...) but I've never cooked steak before....any tips on time/ temperature etc etc?

We both like medium rare.

Thanks!

I used to make a caramel-like dipping sauce in the fall to dip apples in. It tasted just like the stuff you buy in the produce section. I cannot remember how I made it! Does anyone have any good recipes for apple dipping sauces?

I'm planning on surprising my boyfriend with a home-cooked meal, but I want to somehow incorporate shark meat into this Albino Penne recipe http://pasta.allrecipes.com/az/lbinPst.asp . Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please take note that I'm not a gourmet cook..something easy.

And if you're wondering why shark, it's b/c he's scared to death of sharks and I know he'll love chomping on them.

Thanks in advance!

Heres what I am preparing,
Its called Langua mystiqe ( French Recipe )

Basically I chop up 1/2 lb raw liver into small chunks and Draw the moisture out my placing it in a bowl of very fine powdered sugar. Then I take the livers and marinate it in a bowl of pure honey for 1 hour.

Then I take 1/4 cup mint and 3 table spoons of lemon salt, 1 spoon of sugar and 1 egg. 5 spoons of butter. and mix it with some milk in a blender then place in a bowl. I throw the liver in and let it soak for about 10 minutes and then I fry it in peanut oil.

I am very excited about this date and hope she really likes what I WORKED SO HARD on cooking tonight. Any advise is appreciated
