the same person, who after having eaten said egg (he actually made eggs benedict with it), walked over to the other side of the barn and saw a cow. He was so thirsty. What to do ? What to do?? Oh of course. He got down on his knees, grabbed the utters of the cow and began to drink the delicious nectar that flowed from within and he swallowed every drop

Probably someone who knew chickens were to be eaten, and liked the way they tasted so figured the babies must taste good too, even if they are still in liquid form. Eggs are gross though, so I'm glad I don't eat them.

It probably was the same person who saw a baby just born, held him/her in his arms, and said 'wow is that one beautiful baby, that came from somewhat the same location as the egg. so, he pondered and pondered. a baby! an egg! a baby! and egg. hum. I can admire the baby, and eat the egg!!!
