I want to make a Fresh Strawberry Pie, but I want to use a ready-made pie crust. I'm looking for one that is similar to Bakers Squares regular pie crusts. (Not the graham cracker crust) Which is the best one to use? This is a fruit and jelly filling, so I want a firm crust that won't get so soggy. I hear Mrs. Smith's, Marie Callender, and Pillsbury are pretty good. When it comes to Pillsbury, which one, the frozen or refrigerated one? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

There are many recipes that include wine in the ingredients, but I have never cooked with wine. There is a recipe in my cooking book that I want to try to make- Its rice with mushrooms, the ingredients are butter, chicken broth and white wine. I dont know what kind of white wine to buy, and I am not really a wine drinker, so I dont know much about them. Please recommend a white wine for cooking!!

I want to make a Fresh Strawberry Pie, but I want to buy a ready-made crust instead of making one from scratch. I want to know the BEST brand of frozen or refrigerated pie crust for it. I'm looking for a crust that is similar to Baker's Squares regular pie crust, NOT the graham cracker crust. Remember, this is a fruit pie that will be eaten cold and with a jelly and fruit filling. I hear that Marie Callender, Mrs.Smith's, and Pillsbury's is good. But when it comes to Pillsbury, which one, the frozen or the refrigerated one? Thanks to all, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hello,

For Christmas dinner this Monday, I was going to make my ladyfriend, who is from Sweden, Swedish Meatballs. I want to surprise her and make them as authentic as possible. I already have eggs, breadcrumbs, hamburg, and pork. What else is needed? Thanks

I brought home a frozen solid 11 pound (aka: 4.800 kg) turkey. I put it in water on my counter top for about an hour when I first got it home. Then I put it into the fridge(not in water, just in it's wrapping) By the time I want to cook it (which is tomorrow) ..it will have been in the fridge thawing for about 3 1/2 days. Is it still okay?? Thank you in advance for you answers :)

OK.. so i need to act as rich and upscale as i can.. so i can start this whole attitude where i am privelaged and can do whatever i want in public.. because i have more money than them.

So, part of this will be eating high class and sophisticated food.

What should i choose?

I was thinking hummace and pita bread... or exotic cheese dips with scallions in them.. or other sautteed things with scallions and chicken in them...

but anyways, what can i prepare and buy to give people an impression of my high-classed ness?

I have some sliced white mushrooms and I'd love to make a sauce for the steaks. I once had an awesome sauce that contained balsamic vinegar and I think red wine with the mushrooms. I'd like to recreate something like that. Angel hair pasta is the side dish. Shiraz is being served with dinner.
