A colleague brought me a vacuum sealed box of Turkish Delight from Istanbul in October. I really don't care for it and haven't opened it. How long will it last?

Turkish Delight has a shelf life of 2 years if stored in a cool and dry location. Return to room temperature prior to eating for best texture.

It doesn't go bad, as it is plain sugar mostly, so no one will get hurt or poisoned even after a year or more, but it will get hard and stiff and much less enjoyable.
