I was thinking about the fruit I eat at the DFAC and how we're told to rinse it in cold water before we eat it, this is to get rid of the pesticides, I'm told. But then I thought about it really deep and I realized that they put the pesticides on the fruit when it's still on the tree and then they spray the fruit with wax before they box them up for shipping. The wax is probably to help preserve the fruit as well as make it look good but nevertheless, it's on top of the pesticides, protecting them from the cold water that makes us feel safe as we eat the fruit. Are there any measures being taken to protect us from the poison on the fruit?
