Tea contains 15 - 60 milligrams of caffeine per 8 ounce, depending on whether it is green, brewed or instant. Coffee contains about 100 - 175 mg/8oz.
However, Decaf coffee contains only about 2-4 mg/8oz.

you can have more caffeine in tea if you brew it longer than coffee. like if you steep a bag in a cup and just leave it there, it will have more than a cup of coffee.
