I want to make a Fresh Strawberry Pie, but I want to use a ready-made pie crust. I'm looking for one that is similar to Bakers Squares regular pie crusts. (Not the graham cracker crust) Which is the best one to use? This is a fruit and jelly filling, so I want a firm crust that won't get so soggy. I hear Mrs. Smith's, Marie Callender, and Pillsbury are pretty good. When it comes to Pillsbury, which one, the frozen or refrigerated one? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Please try pillsbury, the ones that you unroll from a long box. There are two per box. My advice is to always flour and roll out a little thinner because they are a little thick for my taste. They are the very closest to home made that I have found.

I don't really like the Pillsbury crusts. If you have a Wegman's near you, try their refrigerated ones.

But, if you really have to use a Pillsbury crust, use the frozen ones.

frozen is better b/c it is harder and firmer, however, i think the refrig one TASTES better.
