I have *hated* veggies since I was young, being forced to eat them every single day... But ever since I discovered the tomato, I got hooked! It's the most delicious vegetable in the whole world!!! Cooked, that is.

My favourite is cherry tomatoes, those tiny, round, plump, savoury bombshells =a They complement almost any soup-y dish. The contrasting taste of salty (soup) and sweet (tomato), and the way they burst in your mouth at just a light prod with your front teeth... Heavenly! T_T

*But* I hate raw tomatoes. Especially the big ones. They taste *nothing* like cooked ones. Every single person I ask likes raw tomatoes. They're sour! In a not-so-delicious way. Cooked tomatoes are sweet! How can you *not* like them better?

So which do you like better, and why?

What do you think about that??? Does it sound good or not? I am making pies for the big day tomorrow. My family likes Choc Cream and Coconut, but I haven't put them together before. Is it a good idea? Please let me know what you think.

I cook them and they're wonderfully juicy and flavorful, but the skin is always less than a deep golden brown. Is there a way to cook them with that color without drying them out - I mean, do the cookbooks overcook them to get the cover shot?

I want to make two new sweet potato dishes for tomorrow, would yall tell me your personal favorite sweet potato dish (no pies, that's covered) or way of preparing sweet potatos? The one's I have are large...roughly a pound each. My favorite was a mashed mix with whole cranberries, brown sugar, dash of lemon and lime juice with some marshmellows and crushed walnuts. I'm looking for something new and different. That's why I am asking for yall's favs. I realize that there are thousands of recipes on the web, I am looking for REAL tried and true recipe's that people love.
Thank you for sharing.

You know, when people eat lasagna, they want the top part: chewy, crunchy, delicious. Is there any scientific reason?

I'm speaking for the UK here, but amongst a huge variety of shapes and sizes of white pasta, I can only find wholewheat spaghetti or fusilli and the wholewheat is so much healthier for you! Anyone know why or where to find a better range?
