Recipe called for 1 cup kosher per gallon of water. I had to use 5 gallons of water to cover my 20 pound turkey, so I was supposed to use 5 cups of salt, I only used 4 and thought that was a lot, so I tasted the brine and it tastes pretty darn salty! Will this make my turkey too salty to eat? Or will the turkey not be affected by this much salt?

At first I was scared. To touch, cut and cook those big male gonads, it felt like a girl has no business cooking them. But now I just giggle so much, it is great fun!
Girls, do you have the guts to cook Mountain Oysters? Or would you laugh?
Any other girl feels the same way, or am I weird?

It's against my religion to drink or cook with (or serve) alcohol. I'm hosting a party for many of my friends who enjoy wine or other drinks, and also love cooking with it. I have two questions. How can I substitute alcohol in many traditional favourite dishes so I can enjoy them as well as my friends? And is it impolite to request that any of my friends bringing dishes not cook with alcohol/bring wine or champagne to dinner?
