Depending when you are going to have dinner, should be about 6 hours in the oven.

Its 1 hour for every 4 lbs...so depends on what time you wanna eat I guess! Also if you use a bag it takes less time and if you cook it upside down its so good because it cooks the meaty part in all the juices, but its not pretty.

a 20 lb'er should be put in at about 9:30 a.m. for 3:00 dinner, and 10:30 for 4:00.

i usually put the turkey on around 3 because you need to keep getting it out of the oven to baste it and you dont want to cook it to high because it will go really dry and yuck!

at like w/e, i start at like 5
i but herbs and spices and the stuffing on the side so the bacteria of the turkey doesn't go in my stuffing
