use a meat thermometer to make sure he's cooked.

Can you possible use someone else's oven as the temperature of 250 is much too low. To properly cook a turkey you need a temperature of 325 and cook the turkey for 20 minutes per pound. The temperature check with a thermometer should reach 180 when checked in the thickest part of the thigh.

350 degrees....cook for about 5-6 hrs if it is not stuffed...if stuffed...about 6 1/2 to 8 hrs....have a turkey thermometer in it took..and when that thing pops up it is done...check it after 4 hrs just to make sure it is cooking okay....also there are websites....type in making 20 pound turkey..good luck...i just made 2- 14 pounders...Make sure you thaw it out for 6-7 days in the fridge if frozen if not enough time put under cold water for 4 hours in the sink, bath tub or large bucket water has to be over turkey(submerged)...changing water every half hour and cook as soon as thawed
