mark has a 7 yr old son that he has joint custody who he is totally detacated to. He gets such joy from being with his son its all he can talk about. We are to be married next mon. and looking at houses to buy and I happened to just say something about a nursery and he just ignored me. Later he said to me he hoped I would not try and push him into having a child and if I wanted one it would be a deal breaker. I was in shock as he loves his son so much and wants to be with him 100% I guess i just thought he would what one with me too. When i asked why all he gave me was excuses nothing that made any sence. Now his child was planned not an accedent and was the only reason that keep his marrige going as long as it did. 1st marrige. So can anyone tell me why he would be so against having a child with me when he loves his 1st child so much?

I've seen plenty of articles on the etiquette of women wearing white to a wedding, but nothing with regard to male guests or the wedding party.

We're getting married on the beach on a tropical island, and I (the groom) am planning on wearing a white suit with a red shirt (complements the bridesmaid dresses) and a white tie. I am also planning on having the groomsmen wear white suits with the same red shirt w/o the tie. Is this ok?

If you know what I mean?

Was it an automatic feeling, or did you consciously decide?

Like suppose I have a great guy friend who has always loved me, but although I like him, and respect him and he is a good friend, I never reciprocated. Now, many people say I should give him a chance.

This is what prompted my question: Do you just *know* or ..... is it a conscious decision. Coz, if I want, I can surely just consciously decide right now, that my friend is the one for me. But this wasn't an *automatic* thought & feeling - if you know what I mean? It was a conscious decision.

he doesn't know how to dance and i want him to learn so we can dance together at our wedding. I have tried convincing him, but he wont do it. I have spoken to him about how important this is to me, but he seems to think that dancing in one spot is alright for our first dance. I think he is embarrassed to go to a class. Any suggestions.

So many women ask me when I'll get married, and why am I NOT married so I decided to get a cute pink t-shirt that says in chocolate brown:

" UNAVAILABLE PROUD OLD MAID."

That way no one can bother or feel pity for me.

It just bothers me they say "oh how pretty you are and what a nice personality you have. how come you don't get married what's the problem?"

Hello ladies,

Etiquette is important and when you do not abserve some common courtesies, you may offend some people. One piece of advice ladies: you do not want to piss off your mother in-law.

At this wedding that I attended, the bride had a very large bridal party. She had 7 BM, 5 of the BM and the flower girl was were her sisters, the ring bearer was her brother. One of the groomsmen was his brother. She didn't pay one red cent of the wedding, the groom pay for everything... 42k worth of it and she doesn't work.

At the rehearsal dinner, there were gifts for the wedding party mind you, 85% of the wedding party were his brothers and sisters. She had a handbag, some jewelry set, a personalized tank top, flip flops, an engraved customized compact mirror, potions and lotions ...about $70 dollars a bag for her sisters gifts (groom paid)

The GM gifts were some very nice personalized beer mugs. The groom also pay for her brother's tuxedo rental.

YUP, back to the crazy friend. I am bored at work- me and my friend (who is in her wedding) our fighting over how many people are going to show up for her wedding.
It's just for fun (yeah, I am a B- I already know) And I am completely bored at work today! LOL
1. No invites yet- wedding is Jan 19th
2. 75% of the guest list is out of state
3. New England is getting lots of snow this year.
4. It's right after the holidays.
5. This is a redo wedding (she already married)
6. Only 17 people came to her shower and she invited like 60.
7. She short 6 grand so no one knows if the wedding is really happening...
8. She really doesn't have any close friends and is inviting EVERYONE she has ever known since childhood.
9. Not everyone gets a date!!

Facts- she is inviting 189 and thinks def. 147 will show. My friend thinks maybe 100 will show. I think 60 people might show. What your guess?
Hint- You figure from the shower 34 people will def show.

I'm going to a straight-edge wedding in a couple months and just wondering if anyone else has ever been to one...or heard of it!

(Note: straight-edge means no drinking or drugs of any kind. It's usually a life commitment made by someone who had a problem with them in the past).

I'm at a loss as to what to give them for Christmas. They are going to be married in March.

I don't have any idea what to get my brother for Christmas. Nor do I know his fiancee well enough. They live across the country from me and I have not seen their new house. But there is a coffeepot on their wedding registry that I could get them for Christmas.

Is that too cheesy or is it a good idea?
