I've seen plenty of articles on the etiquette of women wearing white to a wedding, but nothing with regard to male guests or the wedding party.

We're getting married on the beach on a tropical island, and I (the groom) am planning on wearing a white suit with a red shirt (complements the bridesmaid dresses) and a white tie. I am also planning on having the groomsmen wear white suits with the same red shirt w/o the tie. Is this ok?

If those are the colors that you and your bride have decided on, then there is nothing in etiquette that states you can't use those colors.

It is reccomended to not wear white, red or black (with the exception of a black tie affair) to a wedding to not take attention away from the bride. But the wedding party is the exception. I have seen "snowball" weddings where the whole wedding party is in white. Then there are black and white weddings.

Since you are having a beach wedding the attire you are choosing sounds appropriate so don't worry about it! Good luck!

A black tuxedo and a white tux blouse will tournament purely approximately something. you do no longer could verify his blouse on your gown. Your gown is seen independent, so your attendants can placed on different hues and nevertheless coordinate with you. Having the groomsmen placed on black or silver vests might additionally artwork, even nonetheless the bridesmaids' outfits are blue. you do no longer choose each and every thing to completely tournament ... you purely could make specific it coordinates. there's a great distinction between "tournament" and "coordinate." as an occasion, in case you wore a crimson gown, you do no longer unavoidably could placed on crimson shoes with it, proper? you ought to placed on black shoes, or silver, or gold, and it would nevertheless seem high-quality. that's what "coordinate" potential.

Sounds good if it's okay with the bride. And it's just as much your right to have a say in your clothes as it is for her to pick out her gown. After all, it's your wedding too. You just don't want to clash.

Honestly I don't like the sounds of it but it's your wedding. I assume the bride has approved this colour combo. Normally the men would not wear white either because it would upstage the bride.
