6 months ago today we married and the only thing I planned to make before remembering is bratwurst, beans, and potatoes-not a romantic meal I know.

What can I do to make tonight special for my husband?

Well, we are both in dead end jobs until he gets out of school, and after deciding we both want a nice wedding (both of us have expensive taste) and starting to plan the one for 2009 (Which is a ways away) weve decided we will probably wait until 2010. Weve decided since he wont graduate until the end of 2008, and we need to put money down, and save up for everything that we may as well wait a year so we might be able to buy a house too.
Welllllllllllllll..... i'm already pulling my hair out over it, I wan to get married right away (no not a rush type of thing that Im trying to get money or don't want him to leave, im just eager to start our lives together) and 2009 seemed far away, well now it drives me even more nuts.
I figure this gives him time to get settled in his career and I can pick up a second job, or a job that pays me better and we can save gobs of money.
Any tips on how not to get stressed over this and let it take over my life....??

Hi, my bf & I have been dating for 5 yrs plus, and well, we're actually thinking to start planning for marriage soon, but something personal between us cropped up, that makes me wana hold on to our wedding plans until we're sure that we want to get married and grow old with each other.

However, frens, relatives and esp elders have been asking, esp during meet ups and gatherings, on when we're getting married, or we've been together for a long time & it's time for us to get married etc etc... All these have been really fustrating, is there a way to "shut ppl up in a nice way" yet without explaining why we're holding on to the plans?

Many thanks...

shouldn't these people serve WILD TURKEY LIQUOR AND BOONESFARM at the reception since it's you know a thanksgiving weekend? It's in the back woods - fits right in right. everyone's bringing their own seating, like, law chair or fold up chair. less to clean up.

My marriage (arranged) is fixed in two weeks time. I haven't met my hubby-to-be much. Should I just act passively on the wedding night. Or act bold and come out of my inhibitions?

Is it necessary to be a look-alike pair? Can a bride have a pairs and the groom just have the band only?
for example in this picture

and here's the groom:

first off: im not supposed to know this informantion. My mom told my sister to talk to my fiance and ask him if would like to give me my grandmas engagement ring. She said he could take the diamond out and have it re set if he wanted to. He was not planning on getting me an engagement ring right now as we are trying to save money and dont feel that an engagement ring would be a wise use of finances. He feels as though its a 'pity' offer and does not want to accept it. What do you all think about this? Personally, I would love for him to take it and give it to me. Its a beautiful ring and has family history, which means more than a new ring.

I am starting to look at ideas for my wedding...I was thinking a tea length wedding dress. The only reason is because I think they look better on me and i want people to see my shoes! :) the only issue is I really want it to look dressy, whereas lots of people say tea lenght dresses are for if you want it more casual, which I dont. Also how does this look of with the bridesmaids dresses, being that they will also be tea length, i dont want to look like them!

Does anyone know where I can buy plastic martini glasses in bulk for a reasonable price?
I've looked on Oriental Trading Company, but I'd like to find them for cheaper than $8 per dozen, if possible.
Thank you in advance!

We're having a small ceremony with 20 guests. I think that getting a veil would be a waste of money.

Is it just tradition and absolutely necessary to have one, or can I skip the veil?

I always see questions in this section about huge epic weddings with hundreds of people. I was wondering if anyone has ever had a small intimate wedding, maybe with immediate family and close friends and if so, were they satisfied with this arrangement?

I decided I want to have programs at my wedding. It just seems like a fun thing to do and will give guests something to look at as they are waiting and take home if they so wish. They will have a picture of my fiance and a picture of me when we were each small and then one of our engagement pictures underneath. Then, of course, all of the other info that are normally put into programs.

Well, does anyone know of a good place to get them? Decent price and off- or online is fine. Online is preferable almost though.

I don't want to print them myself because I am doing other things myself and don't want to worry about those as well. So, if I could have any advice or websites or whatever, that would be GREAT!

Thank you all in advance for the help!

I'm looking at having a Christmas time wedding next year. I'm not a huge fan of traditional wedding "stuff" but love everything Christmas and am looking to incorporate this as much as possible. I'm wondering if anyone has any fun ideas to share. We are also Irish and are incorporating this as well. We are not the dancing type, so anything avoiding pop music/DJ's is key. Some of my ideas have been to have couple areas where people can do fun stuff like make gingerbread people or whatever anyone suggests. I hate weddings where everyone just sits at their tables. Getting people up is my main thing!

I'm getting married in 3 weeks and we didn't hire a wedding coordinator. Who usually coordinates the wedding procession for the ceremony in this situation? The only weddings I've ever been in or to have hired someone to help. Is there a particular person other than a coordinator (DJ, minister) that is supposed to do this? Any help is appreciated! :c)

My mom found a beautiful pant suit at the mall recently, and thinks she would like to wear it for my January wedding. Now that it is in her hands, she is wondering if it is proper to wear pants? Or should she find a long dress or gown?

I personally don't care one way or the other, as long as she is happy and comfortable. Our wedding will be semi-formal by the way.

My boyfriend just got me a beautiful white gold diamond ring. I'm wondering when should I NOT wear my ring...(ex: shower, gym etc.) or is it ok to always leave it on...?
I'd feel weird taking it off, but I don't want to cause any damage to it.
