My boyfriend of 2 years recently proposed, and he bought the engagement ring (of course!). So, now what?

Do I buy his wedding ring (traditionally-speaking)?

Your boyfriend bought you an engagement ring why not buy him one or something else of value? As for the wedding rings pick them out and buy together, both of you paying equal amount of money.

The man buys the engagement ring for the woman and the woman buys the wedding band for the man.

traditionally speaking, if you received an engagement ring you buy his wedding band, if you did not get and engagement ring he buys both band rings.

Yes you do! He buys the engagement ring and the band that goes along with it, and you buy his wedding band. Depending on your man, you may want him to go with you, so you know he will wear it ya know!!! Congrats

Of course you buy the ring. It's like a gift of promise to one another. Who did you think bought it?

Yes technically you are giving him his wedding ring and he gives you yours. My fiance and I are picking them out together and he offered to pay just because, once we're married, our finances will be together and not separate. I actually would like to buy him his ring just because I like the idea of giving each other rings.

normally here in asia.. it should be the guy... but in america.. it is reverse.. so since the man will be the back bone of the family and the provider.. the girl should buy the wedding ring

try to find a set.. maybe theres a female wedding band that will look good with your engagement ring that has a matching male wedding band. thats what my cousin and her now husband did.. my husband and I werent able to do that as my engagement ring has a special form that is not round.. so we bought them individually.

Well, my dad only bought my mum an engagement ring. N he doesn't have one and they're pretty traditional.
