If she says no?

Ask the salesperson this question before buying the ring and get it in writing.

I managed jewelry stores and never had anyone return an engagement ring. I don´t now if this is because all the women said yes, or if the man was too embarrased to return the ring.

I depends on the store. Always double check with the store you are purchasing from on their individual return policies.

Usually though if the ring is unaltered (it hasn't been sized, you didn't have a special message engraved, or a different stone....etc) and it has been less than 14 days since you bought it they will take the ring back. After 14 days you usually only get an exchange (again as long as it's hasn't been altered)

Usually though when a guy proposes he's pretty certain of the answer.

It depends on the store. Ours had a 30 day return policy and a 90 day exchange. After that, the ring was yours.

That depends on the jewelry store. Find out what their return policy is. A lot of stores will give you 30 days to return it for cash, and after that let you exchange it for other merchandise.

That's why proposals shouldn't come out of the blue. Talk to your partner and find out if she's on the same page as you concerning your relationship. That way, you won't have to worry about taking a ring back.

Communication is the key to a good relationship.

Good luck!

I say yes. Some places, like Kay's has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. I returned my wedding band, even after it was sized for me. I decided I didn't like it and went back to get another one. I could have had my money back but I just credited it towards another ring.

That is something to talk to the store about before you buy the ring.

Ask the store about their policy before buying a ring from there.....but seriously if you are not sure she will say yes....why are you asking?

They usually have a 30 to 90 day return policy.

Most will. Usually they will offer you a store credit or exchange, but probably won`t give a refund. Buy something nice for yourself for Christmas if that`s how things turn out for ya.
