It's your wedding and your marriage. The rings can go however you want. In single-ring ceremonies, men don't even get a band. And I think it is generally tradition for the wife to have a pair and the husband to just have a band.

But whichevver way you two prefer it is most important, and what matters.

They don't have to be matching. Get what you and he want. I personally think there are way too many diamonds on all of those for my taste and my fiance's. Make sure your fiance likes it as well. I am getting a plain band that doesn't actually match with my engagement ring. My fiance is getting a plain band. Our bands might match each other, which is what we're going for, but it's not a requirement.

I actually think it's pretty rare that couples have their bands match.
There's nothing wrong with having the bands be and look totally different. For example, the white gold fad is all the girls seem to want now, and most men prefer classic yellow gold.

They absolutely DO NOT have to match!

You are wearing this everyday until death do you part. It should fit your taste, and not everybody has the same ones. My Dad looks like crap in yellow gold. My mom loves it. I wanted the white gold look. HTB went for a tungsten band in more of a gunmetal gray finish.

We are all just as married, and ultimately happier than if we had compromised what we wanted just so we could fit the catalog version of matchy matchy rings.

I am a jeweler and I can tell you from years of experience, that you should get what you love. The same goes for the groom. If they are the same, then that is great, if they are not the same, then that is fine as well. There are no set rules and everyone is different. Lots of couples want matching, but lots don't. Get what you love.

The rings can be whatever you like, have you never looked at other couple's rings after they have got married? You can use a piece of string or a ring pull off a can if you so wish, the actual ring is not important, more what is symbolises.

I did not even look at the rings. You can have what you want.If someone else doesn't like it, tell them not to get theirs like that. Everyone is different with what they like.A ring is a ring. You may even prefer to have something other then a diamond.I have no earthly idea why, but you might! Seriously, do what YOU want and don't worry about others.

My fiancee and I will go with a similar style ring however not necessarily a pair as such.

We are both going to get a white gold ring however the style will probably be a little different.

No way! You don't have to have matching wedding rings. No one I know has matching ones. Most people just have a band for the man and a beautiful ring for the women. It is truthfully you and your finaces choice. Best of Luck!

You can do either, or both.

If you have a band that matches your engagement ring, you could also have a band that matches your husband's band. Obviously, you'd have three rings in that case. Nothing wrong with that. It's just whatever you and your hubby t be prefer.
