Congats & how wonderful for you! First off, you can wear anything you wish, you know - celebrate how ever you you wish - there are NO RULES these days, and please do NOT let anyone on this board tell you different.
Here is a page of lovely "bride again" styles - perhaps something here strikes your fancy?
http://www.brideway.net/store/wg-collection-brideagain-pall.html
Love this one with the jacket - http://www.brideway.net/store/klc6832.html
Also look at Bridal Chalet - http://www.bridalchalet.com/home/index.html
they specialize in second time brides and have a lot of different and elegant dresses - you might find just the thing there too. One nice thing about being an older bride is that you may be able to afford to spend more now :)

Finally - check through this site - OffBeat Bride - http://offbeatbride.com/ - there are dresses there that are very different (look at the "porn", LOL) and vendors, and you can join the "tribe" - they have one for older women - and I bet they will help you more than anyone here!
Good Luck & happiness

I'm about to marry for the second time (I'm 47). It's an informal backyard wedding so I'm wearing a nice, but informal outfit. It's a pretty floral skirt in pink/red tones, with a white sleeveless top and a long-sleeved tie-front mesh cardigan/jacket that co-ordinates with one of the reds in the skirt. The tie-up top covers the bits that aren't as pretty as they were the first time round!
If you're not having such an informal wedding, I'd suggest a dress that suits the tone. Just put aside a bit of time and try lots on, until you go "Yes! This is the one!". All the very best to you both.

The traditional rules about second marriages don't really apply anymore. You should wear a dress that you feel comfortable and beautiful in. If you want a traditional dress, find one that suits you and wear it. If you don't want a traditional dress, you still have tons of options. You could also pick a dress or suit that is appropriate for your venue. For instance, if the venue is dressy you could wear an evening gown in white, ivory, or whatever color you like. If you're having an outdoor garden wedding, you could wear a nice dress or suit that is less formal.

You can be as traditional or non-traditional as you like. Go with something that suits your personality and your relationship.

well done you for pulling a nice young man, I thought I was doing well with my toy boy, he is 6 years younger! As for what to wear well, they have some lovely evening dresses in the department stores at this time of year. You could also try looking for dresses or suits that traditionally the mother of the bride would wear. I also thought that Camilla Parker-Bowles looked amazing on her wedding day to Prince Charles, although I don't like her really she did look very elegant.

wear whatever makes you happy.. just make sure that you are happy about the way it looks on you.. you could wear a formal or semi formal dress or a nice suit.. i believe my grandfather's wife wore a silver semi formal dress for their wedding.. she was in her 50s at the time.. ask him how much he wants to dress up and do something accordingly..

It depends on the tone of the wedding. Will it be large, formal or small and informal? Go by that and you won't be overdressed. For second weddings nearly anything goes so it's up to you.

You find a pretty, lovely dress that you feel and look fabulous in! Can be floor length, or tea-length, depending upon what style you are looking at. Choose a colour which flatters you -

Find a nice, tea-length organdy party dress, preferably in a pastel color of some sort... perhaps beige. Something along those lines.
