The one promise I made about our wedding to my fiance is that he can wear a kilt. Originally, we chose the red version of his family tartan. Now, looking at the colors of the kilt, I'm realizing that its going to be a pain to match the colors and get them to coordinate. The wedding is next summer, and fortunately, I haven't really ordered or paid for anything major that uses that color scheme. (Just invitation samples and bride and groom t-shirts). There is a blue version of his family tartan that is lovely, but I had originally had my heart set on a red and white wedding. I've always loved that color scheme even before I agreed to let him wear a kilt. Looking at it now, however, the colors of that kilt look too dark for a summer wedding and the things I've found that I like in red don't match the kilt at all. I'm considering switching to the blue. Tell me what your opinions are. Can I pull off a blue and brown color scheme with the other kilt? If I can, I think I'll be happy with it.

I am going to my friend's wedding and it says that in her invitation. What does that mean? Does it mean they expect money?

How do you choose who you invite? I have a lot of people that I want there but, I don't want to hurt their feelings. I just feel that it is unfair to not invite. I'm really torn over this. Advice please.........

How do I tell my mom that I am still getting married?

Okay! Me and my fiance have been together nine years and we decided last year to get married and through this big wedding. Well we where making plans and around then end of January we go into this big fight and he left the house, well like most couples we made up. For three months we didn't talk much to family because we decided to focus only on our relationship. Well, after we started going to churc and talking things out we decided to go ahead with our plans and get married. Well, we decided to have a small ceremony in another state with just us and our two children. We said that we where going to have a family event at our home when we returned. How do I tell my mom so that she won't think I am trying to keep her from sharing my day? I will have all the pictures, dvd's, etc... but we decided we didn't want the family pressure or drama. Please help. P.S. my mom got married when I was 19 and she didn't invite us to the wedding.

So I'm the Matron of Honor in my best friend from high school's wedding. I spent $45 on a shower gift & so far $75 on a wedding gift. I've already spent $$ on a dress & shoes & I'm paying for bachelorette party decorations & food. Is this enough to spend on her or should I add to her wedding gift?

on him being my fiance (KI). I was lead to a site about this and have found out that it could take up to a year for approval. Has any american citizen gotten married in Morocco and then applied for a VISA for their spouse to come to USA and if so was it easier than trying to get a VISA for approval for a fiance? Thanks for any help you can give me.

My husband and I got married two years ago at a private ceremony and this year we saved up money to have a larger ceremony and reception for both family and friends. However, my mother-in-law decided not to tell all the out-of-town relatives that I have never meet that we were ever married before. So now half of the people at the wedding know we are married and half do not know. How to I control this situation so that nothing awkward happens? So now instead of renewing our vows my mother-in-law wants us procede like we are just getting married the first time. It's a weird situation. Any ideas?

I had a baby nine months ago and I have been excercising to loose weight and been pretty successful. The bride had us all get fitted for these custom made expensive dresses at the end of January when the wedding isn't until the end of October. Now I am already 4 dress sizes smaller than I was, and I am pretty excited about it, but I am a little concerned that getting the dress altered will cost just as much as it was to get it made. I am just frustrated...is there anything I can do besides not loose weight LOL! I think it sucks that I have to pay twice as much for a dress that we got fitted for ages ago; who needs measurements 10 months in advance?

My boyfriend and I have been living together for the past year and we've been together for two years. I expected that shortly after we moved in together, we'd get engaged. We've had the talk and he keeps saying it will happen "soon." Six months ago, he said we'd be engaged in six months and it still hasn't happened. He's unemployed at the moment, so I'm sure that's affecting things. But I really want to move forward with our life together and I feel like he's taking his time. What should I do?

How much would a seamstress charge to remove layers of fabric from a wedding dress?
I am having a destination wedding on a beach in just about a year. I found a dress that I absolutely love. However, it would be too hot to wear on a beach with all the layers of fabric that are in it. I want to know how much a seamstress would charge to remove a few of them?
