I'm writing thank you cards for our engagement party and i'm stuck on what to write. Any suggestions?

We just finished sending ours out. Of course, some deserved a more personal touch, but our basic thank you was: Thank you so much for the generous gift and for celebrating this exciting time in our lives. It was so nice to see you and we can't wait to celebrate again in (wedding month)!

Thank them for coming to the party and sharing in your joy. If they brought you a present, mention the present specifically, and say something nice about it. Close with some warm words (how nice it was to see them again or how nice it was to meet them, how much fun your having planning the wedding, looking forward to their part in your wedding, if they have one...). Sign both your names. Be genuine, and you'll be fine.
