Me and my fiancee are very much outdoorsy people and love rustic resorts like lodges. I want beautiful views and horseback riding. We are having a wedding in the VT Mt's and a barn/pig roast reception. Any good ideas on resorts that would fit those ideas? Thanks.

My dad hates my mums partner (who she left my dad for).

I am planning my wedding and of course want dad to give me away but he says he won't go if "he's" there! I refuse to not have my step dad there and really want him to be part of it.

I know my dad will be talked round to coming without causing a fuss but how can I keep my step dad involved in the day without making my dad angry?

I wish they could both give me away without falling out!! That could never happen though.

I thought about asking my step dad to make a speech aswell at the sit down dinner but I think that will just make dad angry. I just don't know what to do.

I hav got a realy strange problem.. my parents are lookin for a match for me.. we had got a proposal where the horosscope matched well..
A meeeting with the guy was arranged soon as he worked in a different place.. we met.. i liked the guy.. (i think he liked me too).. he said that if you like too we could get to talk more on this.. (future plans and stuff)..

he left the next day.. now the problem is that my parents were waiting for a reply from their side.. and they were obviously waiting for o us to call..
now our society is like.. girls are not expected to say "i like him" and no one has asked my opinion..

I know there is a communication deadlock and i cant do much on it.. but how will I get them to talk again ???
Im really confused!!
is there anything that I can do??
Its been like 10 days sinc we met... is this it? is it over.. or do i have a chance.. please reply

So the first engagement crashed and burned. I still have the ring and am considering proposing to my new girlfriend with a new ring but with the same diamond from the previous one. Can anyone support me on this or am I way cheap thinking of doing it this way?

If a bridesmaid is supposed to stand in for the bride at the rehearsal, is it the maid of honor, or just any of the bridesmaids?

I was just wondering, because my future mother in law is basically wearing a mini wedding dress. It is white & strapless like mine.

I am on a very small budget,. However I am a maid of honor and have to plan the bachelorette party. Any theme ideas would be greatly appreciated. The other bridal attendant does not arrive in town until the night of the party, so I am on my own here. We have about 8 girls coming so far!

My friend is a bridesmaid in a wedding for a friend of hers, and lives out of state. So my friend and I were shopping to try to find her a bridesmaid dress, and she picks out a super short, super cleavage revealing dress. She thinks it is acceptable to let it all hang out at a wedding, whereas I think there is an amount of sophistication and conservative attire that a bridesmaid should uphold. I don't think she can't look good, but everything hanging out is trashy, espcially for a wedding, when the attention should be on the bride (and groom) not the slutty bridesmaid. Who is right?

For a couple that's already been together a while, and have a 2 month old baby?

I have a girlfriend who I've known since 8th grade (we're both now in our mid-twenties). We've stayed in contact, attend eachother's children's birthday parties and talk on the phone/email every couple months for hours! We live on opposite ends of town so it's been harder to get together in person much. We've never had a falling out and are there for each other, get along well and enjoy each other's company. I knew that she was planning a wedding and had yet to get to meet the guy but she didn't talk much about it to me. She had 2 other girls who went to school with us as part of her wedding party but I didn't even find out about her wedding until the week after! I wasn't expecting to be a part of the wedding party but at least I thought I'd get an invite to the ceremony. She left me a VM saying she had just gotten married and emailed me all the pictures. It's almost like she didn't realize I'm offended that she didn't include me. Should I mention it to her or leave it alone?

I am getting married soon and would like something different than the norm to walk down the aisle to. The feel of the wedding is modern, hip - not traditional and stuffy. Any song suggestions would be helpful!
