This is always fun!
rose petals , candels, chapagne, can never go wrong..

their initals on the bed in petals, petals floating in a bubble bath a basket of snacks, the couple will need munchies for the evening, they never eat a whole meal during reception

if your looking for wacky ideas, condoms and novelty items from adult stores are funny if its the type of couple who will find the humor, remember this night is special for them so base it on your friends personalities...

one great idea if a drug store near by, get some pictures during the wedding and print them off at store and leave a few photos in their room to take on honeymoon with them, they will love to immediately re-live the special moments.

I'm also getting married in November (4th)! I would suggest a bed and breakfast in Vermont, like Beaver Pond Farm. It's beautiful! Since we want to go to Europe and the weather is miserable during that time, we're going to stay in a really nice hotel after the wedding and take our real honeymoon next June/July.

Make them a picnic (snack) basket. Many brides and grooms are too excited to eat much at the reception. Include a couple of flutes and champagne in ice if they will like it.

Perhaps some silly fun bride/groom tee shirts or hats.

A basket with bath salts or bubble bath.

If the cabin does not have it already you might tuck a small basket in the bath that includes aspirin/Tylenol and first aid supplies.

Fill the room with helium balloons, tie little sexy trinkets everywhere, flavored condoms, massaging oils, Energy boosters, chocolates or lacy panties. Handcuffs on the bed posts. Leave whipped cream and Strawberries by the bed. Just a few Ideas. Have fun!!

Put together a really great honeymoon basket and leave it somewhere obvious...chocolates, bubbly (if it were for me it would be sparkling apple cider, but some people like champagne...) fabulous crystal stemware, strawberries dipped in chocolate, stuff like that.

Get some scented massage oil and leave it by the bed.

Put some fresh roses around.

Leave a framed picture of the two of them together on the table.

Put together a nice breakfast for them and leave it in the fridge....like crepes and strawberries and whipped cream. (It's good cold or hot!)

Write them a letter about how wonderful they are and how happy you are for them. Leave a journal for them to write to each other.

Don't do anything that the bride would not think is "sweet"! I had friends get their house trashed when they were getting married and to come home to that on their wedding night was NOT a pleasant surprise.

Please be nice to this couple!!! I love the idea of the champagne, snacks, massage oil, rose petals, candles (and matches/lighter), music to set the mood/cd player, etc, but don't go overboard. Sweet and simple is much more romantic. Remember, they'll be tired that night from the day and anything they have to clean up or find or redo/remake is not going to be welcome.

some friends of my parents had access to my parents suitcases before the honeymoon.. and they put rice in their suitcases.. not really nice, but my parents thought it was funny!

also, you could leave fun notes around the room.. like:
"save water, shower together..." etc

Buy 20 cheap travel alarm clocks. Set them to alarm 15 minutes apart throughout the wedding night and hide them all around the cabin.

If anything, just decorate or make sure they have appropriate supplies BEFORE they arrive. Once they get there, leave them alone!
