My best friend is getting married and asked me to get ordained through the ULC online so I could perform the wedding. Is this legal? Will it be official?? Also, if it is, does anyone know where I can find a wedding ceremonies cheat sheet?

If I opt not to have a dinner, what can I do instead? I'm planning late afternoon- early evening ceremony. I was thinking of breaking after for the dinner but now I am concerned about time. WOuld it be acceptable to go from ceremony to pictures to reception without a dinner? What should I serve at the reception to make up for guests missing out on dinner? the hours are tricky, will people be starving?

My wedding colours are red and white/cream. What do you recommend for flowers? I am not a fan of (calla lilies or carnations) I don't want to depend on red roses though I wouldn't mind using in some way. What would a unique choice be? (it's a spring wedding, if that affects your suggestion) thanks!

Is it to make the parents happy and/or impress their friends and coworkers who are invited? Wouldn't it make more sense to find alternatives that do make them happy or skip them altogether? If something is not important to a couple, why waste time and money on it?

Ok..this is confusing! My fiance and I have been together for 9 years. We are finally getting married. We had it all planned out to go out of town and have a small wedding with our families there. We thought it would also be a mini vacation for all of us, as well. I have a huge very close wedding, he has a much smaller family than I. His dad has diabetes and had a problem to where he wouldn't be able to travel. We really wanted to get married on St. Patricks Day (that's when we met). So..now a week away and we have no clue what to do. we had to cancel plans and just have to get a judge to marry us. The question is what to do afterwards. Should we just go out to eat afterwards or have a little party at my aunts house where we buy steaks and lobster on the grill. We just don't want it cheesy. Our time is running out and we are so confused. What would be better a little party like thing or just go out to eat?

My daughter is getting married end of 2008,we have £10,1000 of a buget.Do you think it will pay for the venue for 80guests ,8 attendants consisting of 2 page boys ,3 flower girls, and 3 bridesmaids. My daughter is buying her own dress,We want the venue to be somewhere nice eg THE ORANGERY in Margam South Wales .THAT IS ONLY ONE EXAMPLE.The cost of invatations and hymn sheets,The Chapel, hiring a Male voice choir, hiring coaches to and from the Chapel ,and back to the venue, the cake(nothing to elaborate)buing favours, flowers for the Chapel, and the venue Clothes for me and hiring a suit for my husband.Thats all i can think of now ,thanks in advance.

My fiance and I decided a long time ago that we wanted to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. My fiance's father has offered many times to help with expenses (his parents are much more well-off than mine). Well, my parents have announced they will pay for the entire wedding, which is wonderfully generous. We decided to ask his parents to help pay for the honeymoon, since traditionally that is the groom's parents' domain and they did offer. When we showed them Hawaii brochures, they said they weren't going to send us there. We were floored; this was basically a sure thing. Now what do we do?

I really want to have my niece as my flowergirl but she will only be two and half years old. I'm afraid that she won't be old enough by then to be in the wedding. She is unpredictable, you never know what she's going to do. Whether she'll go off and just blab nonsense (all cheerful and cute) or if she'll get scared and burst into tears from all of the guests. I honestly don't even know if she will do it. If by some chance she can't do it, my cousin's three year old can. The problem with that is, that my sister's already upset that my cousin is my maid of honor and not her... but then to go and change the flowergirls, she will be so angry! My sister keeps saying yeah that she'll be able to do it, but I believe that she is only saying that to see her daughter in the wedding. I really don't want any distractions and I want the wedding to go smoothly, but I don't know what to do. I really don't want my niece to start crying during the "any objections" part but really want her to be in it.

We are having a Jack and Jack in place of the traditional shower or stag. We have 5 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids in our wedding party. We have not asked them to help us with anything as of yet (our wedding is in may), but would like for them to help us out by purchasing some of our raffle prizes. I don't mean that they each have to go out and purchase $300 radios, or anything like that~ gift certificates, and things like that would be great. I haven't asked them to help us, my sister will probably suggest the idea. However *my question* is, are we required to *reimburse* them for the prizes they purchase? I've heard varying opinions, and would love to hear from someone who has done something similar. Help!
