He doesn't need to know all of the minute details however, he should be made aware of the time allotment (is it going to be one night or a weekend away?) and what the general plans will be. Make sure he's on board with the whole stripper thing. Believe it or not, some guys might find that scene uncomfortable. The party should be something he'll enjoy.

In my experience, the groom usually knows all the details. I don't think most guys care about being surprised.

No, what are you? The Groom! The last night of freedom. Your friends want to treat you to a night you cannot go back to, and probably give you a lot of memories. So go, don't worry about where or what, it is ok to look, but remeber, don't touch. He,heee.....Been there! So congrats, and have fun!

What? Where would be the surprises if the groom already knew what would happen?

of course he doesn't. It will better for him as a surprise and he won't object about what he doesn't know. Just look after him and get him to church on time in a fit state! have a good time

He doesn't have to know what, so much as he needs to know who. He needs to know who his friends are and that he can trust them to respect his tastes and his bride to be. He should know he can trust them to create an enjoyable night and not a scandal in his life.
