My best friend is getting married and asked me to get ordained through the ULC online so I could perform the wedding. Is this legal? Will it be official?? Also, if it is, does anyone know where I can find a wedding ceremonies cheat sheet?

Hi! I was ordained through ULC, as well. I recently performed two wedding ceremonies for friends in Missouri. It was a lot of fun. It is official and legal in Texas, too. I know that ULC offers some ceremony guidelines materials. We just got ours from books at Borders or Barnes and Noble. Good luck. I know you will have a blast.

We got married by a friend who was ordained through ULC. Our marriage is legal, we live in California.

This website might help you with the ceremony wording and vows...

I'm also ordained through the Universal Life Church. I looked into that a while back and you may want to check the site, essentially you need to register at a courthouse. I don't know what documents you will need from ULC as I havn't done it.

I am surprised at you. Contact ULC with all your questions. Go to the source.

As stated in the info you should have gotten, you have to check with state authorities first.
