All parents are participating in the cereamoney, except the step-mother who was told she would be lighting the unity candle with the bio- mother earlier, but at rehersal, step-mother was left out to everyone's suprise without warning. How should this be handled?

I am 17 and getting married July 7th 3 weeks before my 18th birthday, my parents are signing for me to get married because this is what I really want. I asked a question before about if people thought I was too young and people were really harsh. I don't understand why people are so against young people marrying. I am getting married for the right reason and that is that my fiance and I are very much in love. I am not pregnant and I don't just want to have sex. Which are two reasons why people assume we are marrying. I would really just like to know why people are so against this.

I'm not a flower person so I really want to minimise my flowerage at the wedding, esp. the church. I have thought about bows on pews and scented candles. Also I have thought about buying nice stargazer lillies (my bouquet flowers) from Tesco and putting them in glass vases at the alter. I dont want to spend loads on flowers! Any other suggestions!

She wanted to know if her soon to be husband wore a tail on his tux, should his groomsmen too? Or would that be taking the attention from him? Or should he and his best man wear a tail? Please give me your suggestions.

A co-worker told me of something to do with your wedding gown, her daughter-in law knocked at their door with her wedding gown over her arm and my friend knew she was about to become a grandmother as her daughter in law had always told her she wanted her to make a christening gown from her wedding gown. WONDERFUL IDEA INSTEAD OF BEING PACKED AWAY FOREVER. How often are wedding gowns used for anything. I have never known of anyone actually wearing their mom's or grandmom's gown so this christening gown could be handed down and a family heirloom.
I would love to have this done from my gown for my grandchildren or see my daughter married Sept 06 or daugher in law as of April 7, 07 do this.

We are moving to Colorado next month and having our wedding in Michigan in Aug. (where we reside now) We are also having our showers and pre-parties in Michigan. We are trying to decide what to do in regards to gifts. We are registered and we want people to be able to give us gifts, if they do not want to give cash or gift card, but how do we get these gifts home to Colorado? We are flying to Michigan for our wedding, and we the bride and groom really do not want to pay to have our own wedding gifts shipped back to Colorado. We will have no car to drive them back to Colorado, on any occassion.

Do we:
Put in the invites, prefer to have gifts shipped to Colorado, or gift cards.

Leave it be and pay to ship the gifts back to Colorado??

I know people are going to want to give us gifts, so I do not necessarily want to limit them by saying gift cards, and shipping only, especially for a shower, which the whole purpose of a shower is to see the bride open the gifts. HELP!

So my boyfriend and I are not religious and were planning on having a Justice of the Peace preform our wedding ceremony. However, a friend from work is an ordained minister and willing to do our ceremony. Does anyone know how this works. Does she have to preform a traditional religious ceremony or is she allowed to preform a more secular ceremony?
P.S. She knows that we are not religious.

I have no clue on how to plan a wedding. My BF proposed a couple weeks ago, and then decided to leave everything up to me! All I have in mind are colors (lt. baby blue and obviously white) and season (summer). I have no idea how many people but it looks anywhere from 150-200 people. Its in NJ. Does any one have any ideas on everything? Including locations?

After a 7-year on and off relationship, I want to make the first step to commitment. 2 years ago I bought her engagement ring but I realized it wasn't a good time to propose. I love her very much, the love of my life, but also time passes by and seems she doesn't know what she wants from me, from our relationship. I would gladly settle in and love her forever. She is divorced and has a 15 year old son. Chemistry and relationship is great between the 3 of us.
Today is her birthday and I would like her to remember this day into the future. If she says NO it's goodbye and time to move on.

When I saw this dress for the first time, it hit me right in the face: this is my dress. I don't care if I get married in ten years' time or next year, but this is the dress I want. It is perfect. This is a pattern from an Italian haute couture company called Marfy. I have been thinking about this dress for two years and will buy the pattern (which costs 76 euros) and keep this pattern aside for when the time comes.

It will be interesting to know what some of you think, even though your opinions will not change my mind! Your objectivity is what I want. What kind of bride do you see in this dress? What type of wedding?

Copy and paste this link in your address bar, please, and tell me!
