I'm in WI and my reception is booked @ The Holiday Inn Express Convention Center. The room itself is $1000. Catering/Booze for 200 guests is $4000.............provided by the hotel and includes our room for the night and a room for the gift opening the following morning w/breakfast for 20 people........

Well, most can section off the room to fit the number of guests you will have, which greatly changes the price. I am having mine at the Marriot in Missouri. For 1/4 of the ballroom, which will be for about 80 people, is going to be a minimum of $1250. They do not charge you to have it there. They merely want your food and drinks to add up to at least $1250. Also, you can have your ceremony there too on a different section. The Marriot charges $250 for this. In my area, a hotel is your best bet. I've looked at quite a few places, and all but the Marriot charge at least 1 or 2000 to just rent the place, not including food or anything. Well, I hope this helps.

I got married at the Holiday Inn in Medicine Hat Alberta. It was 300 for the day. The half day rate was 75. It will depend on your location.Just call the hotel. We also got a deal because we had enough rooms booked in their room book package to get the room for the next day for free for gift opening. The hotel was great to us and their staff even helped decorate.I would definately send more people there.
