Never promise to keep someone else happy. It's not possible. Other people's emotions are not under your control. You wil end up miserable and so will she.

Probably not, what would make you different then the others? Some people want to get married and some people find out that they just don't. Of course the people that never get married never end up getting divorced either. I use to wonder why it was more appropriate to get married five and ten times then not at all. Now I see that it is sometimes the best choice or in some cases the only choice that there really is.
