please don't make such a giant mistake. it isn't 1930. you don't marry your high school sweet heart, have a house with a white picket fence and everything is just great. you're both so young. young people don't stay together in this day and age

I am sure you feel you are in love, but you are way too young to be thinking of getting married. You are both too immature. First of all you must finish high school, and then possibly college. If you both care for one another then the right thing to do is wait. Get an education first, and so should he too. What are you going to live on, love? That is only in the movies. What would your job prospects be?
McDonalds, or slinging hash in a diner? What is he going to do, get a job as a cook or work in a factory for minimum wage? Believe me when there is no money, love goes out the window very fast. You have to be 21 to be married without permission in most states. Did you ever hear of the saying: "Marry in haste, repent in leisure". Think about it and discuss with your Mother and I am sure she will give you the same advice and not consent.

What are you imagining? That you'll come back, your parents will say thats ok, everything will be perfect? You'll spend your life together forever? I wanted to do the same thing when I was 16. So glad I didn't! I thought he was the 'one'. Lasted 6 months. Silly childhood feelings. You get married, doesnt matter about school, you can't live. You 16, only been here for 16 years. your going to be here for another 60-70 years.. whats the hurry...? He'll wait.

wait to be 18 years old ! marrying someone doesn't mean anything even if you couldnt imagine your life without him. as long as you love him stay with him and wait to be sure than in 3-4 years you still feel you can't live without that person. you're too young and too little life experienced to be sure without any doubt that he is the person for your life. a life is very long... especially starting at 16 ..

Don't do it! I got married at 19 and I wish I had waited!!! I "LOVED" him and had to have him. I didn't think I could live with out him but if I had waited. I didn't get to experience much of anything. He was my first and only and so I didn't know if there was anything better out there. I didn't get to experience "SINGLE" life or anything just jumped right into the fire!

On top of all the struggles and stuff. I still have not finished college and work with my back (if you get my drift) because I didn't get my education on. Please consider waiting at least for a little while longer.

Unfortunately, no where in the US ... I wouldn't recommend going out of the country, either, as that might cause problems with your family. You should just wait and concentrate on school while you can, then marry after college. If you're still going to be together, then it shouldn't be a problem to wait until you have you life in order and a stable career.

Nowhere. In the USA you must have your parents permission if you are under 18 (19 in NE and 21 in MS). If you can't get your parent's permission, you can always try to get a Judge's permission.

Well, since you'll be with him "forever", you can wait until you are 18 and do not need your parents permission.

Get engaged now if you want, but have a 2+ year engagement.

How long have you two been dating? How do your parents feel about it? I'm guessing they aren't too into it since you want to do it without parental permission.

I would really wait. Talk to your parents.

No place. And in some counties you must appear before the court judge even WITH parental permission.
I suggest you wait until your at least of legal age.

What about your education? If something happens to this young man are you capable of supporting the two of you & children? Are you going to have go move back home to Mommy's with a family, or are you expecting the rest of us to support you through financial aid?
If it's true love, it will wait.

U can't. If you are underage, you can't get married without your parents permission. If you want my advice, you need to wait, because what you want at 16 may not be what you want at 18.
