I have received a quote from a friend of a friend for my wedding flowers (Calla Lillies) & wanted to check if this is worth it for £300:
My bouquet
2 Bridesmaids
Grooms Buttonhole
5 x button holes
Pageboy button hole
4 pedastal's in church + windowsill arrangements
2 x cosages
What do you think?? Thanks for any help

She is a qualified florist & she's my mum's friend's daughter who will make sure she's there as she is invited to the wedding!

For what you are getting, I'd say the price is very reasonable.
However, if you are not entirely happy with it, you can always get a second quote without your friend knowing. That way, you will be satisfied that the 1st quote you are given is within reason.
Congratulations!

If you know this person's work definitely go for it. Don't know where you live, I am Scotland and we have just booked a florist for a July wedding after shopping around All prices were round about the same as in Brides bouquet starting at £65, bridesmaids about the same, Church pedastals, admittedly quite large £125 , flowers girls posies £22 - £45, cosages for mothers £8.99 each. Reception tables averaging £30 each but started from £15 - £40 per table and can't remember buttonholes etc. If this person is a good florist you can't go wrong. Our total bill is £1.050.00 and we haven't went OTT.

Hi
for my brother's wedding we paid just under £300 for bride's bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets (all roses) a flower girls basket and 13 thistle button holes and 2 corsages. Hope that helps.

Hi!
Yeah, that sounds pretty cost effective.
However, how confident are you that this 'friend of a friend' will 'deliver' on the day if you know what I mean. Is he/she a qualified florist?
It's your big day and you don't want anything to go wrong do you?
I'd think really hard about it. What's a few extra pounds if you can get them done by a florist who you will enter into a proper contract with?
Best of luck with your day!

It seems very reasonable to me but it might be better if you just ring a local flower shop and get a quote from them as a comparison. I paid about £200 for my wedding for silk bouquets (bride and 2 bridesmaids) and 10 female, 10 male buttonholes, and table decoration rings (8) and three 'real' flower pedestal arrangments. So for real flowers £300 seems quite good. All the very best for your big day.

That sounds like an incredible deal! My bouquet for my first marriage was $150! Then everyone else's flowers. And I used ivy, roses, and something purple. I think it's going to be beautiful and a good deal.

WOW, that is a fantastic deal, 300 Euros works out to about 390 american dollars, I think thats a great deal. Are you concerned that you might not be getting the best florals for that money or do you think its too expensive? I cant figure out your question.

Sounds like a bit of a bargain to me. I only had two bouquets with Lillies and that set me back £190 several years ago - your friend must really like you x

I don't know how wedding flower prices have changed, but I'd say that's pretty expensive to what I paid 3 years ago.
