My Future Mother-In-Law has given me a list of people that she only wants me to send an announcement and not an invitation. She doesn't want the recipients to think we are asking for presents only to send a notice that we are getting married. Where can I get information on either where to buy an announcement card or what to put on the announcement?

My Wedding dress is very big and bridal. I am trying to decided on how to have my hair for the wedding. I have big crystal earrings and no necklace. I want to go very soft with the hair and plan to take the veil off for the reception. Which do u think is better. I have medium lengh blonde hair and both styles will suit me perfectly.

My brother is getting married, his fiancee asked me to be a bridesmaid and I accepted. But she went to buy dresses and I live about an hour away so I was not invited to go. They picked out dresses, including mine, and the size they got for me kind of hurt my feelings. I wear a size 7 in jeans, the bride and her maid of honor both wear a 5. Their dress sizes are 10, they bought me a size 16? That made me feel realy overweight, I am only 2 sizes bigger than them so why such a big dress. When she knew I got upset over the size she made the statement, it was easier to take one in than let one out, so they got it bigger. Should I believe that and not let it bother me, I know it is her special time but it realy made me feel bad. Is it ok for me to voice my opinion or should I just keep my mouth shut and act is though it did not bother me?

What were the good and bad about this idea? Will people show up - as they may be working? The reason for this is a short notice wedding and most churches are booked already for Saturdays. Thanks

My fiance doesn't want to wear white so they will all be wearing dark brown tuxes. Does the groom and the groomsmen match or does the groom wear something a little different? And how about the father of the bride?
I ask the tux place and they gave me that "anything goes today" answer.... but what is traditional done?

My mate is getting married, but they've stated in their invitation cards that they'd rather have money donations to their honeymoon, instead of gifts. Isn't this a little rude and a bit greedy. I feel if they didn't want what people would bring, then they should just ask for nothing. What do you think?

He moved in with me last October, and when you ask him to do something, well it is always maybe, I have just finished painting & decorating our bedroom & livingroom ok he did do the bedroom ceiling but he is 6ft 5in compared to my 5ft 1in He is also 38 and I am 49 years of age, I was left to move all the furniture, well I had to do it as he was down the pub watching football, when he did come in he said (you should have left that till I was here) even though he was in when I started doing it. Yesterday he did help me clean out the garden shed, but it was all swearing kicking things about I just knew he did not want too do it, he just wants to sit about the house jumping channels when not in the pub. Please advise can you change someone or not

We are getting married in Southampton this winter in a registery office with 8 guests. The wedding is at 10am, we have no reception, does anyone have any ideas what we can do afterwards at that time in the morning. We do not live in Southampton so we are staying in a hotel. I never thought about what time the bar would open as originally we were having no guests. Please help!

I'm an Asian living in Asia. I'm invited to my friend's wedding ceremoney and party in Lyon, France. They will have civil ceremony in the morning and religion ceremony around 4pm. The reception will be after the ceremoney in church. Dinner is at 8pm and I guess we will drink till 4 am.

I'm so curious what to wear and do you have to change dresses between the period. I really have no idea at all.

Thanks for the answers in advance!

I think we must but, at the same time, that's impossible. It's quite difficult to be 100% sure... Am I the only one?

Does anyone know about covenant marriages, and if they do them in Texas? If not, what is the closest state that does them? I am a very firm believer that marriage is forever, and even thought I know I will end up with him forever, I want to show the world that I am just that sure! Please help, any (good) advice would be appreciated. And where is a good place to get a dress in Houston?

Trying to write a best man's speech for my brother's wedding, I honestly do not know the bride at all, just a few meetings at some family events, but very brief. I am a very humorous person, and people know me as having a good sense of humor.

to find a dress that suits 4 different bridesmaids.
1) a 41 year old maid of honor (my mother) size 5
2) a 22 year old bridesmaid size 24
3) a 20 year old bridesmaid size 10
4) a 18 year old bridesmaid size 12

I know i could do the mix and match and will probably end up doing that but i was curious if there's a dress that could show off a few curves but still be comfortable and appropriate for each lady?!
like what lengths, necklines, dress shapes?!
thank for any advice/input!

OK before i begin, i truley know "i can really only answer this question" but i really do need serious help.
i am getting married and the only people i have standing up are my 4 little kids a nephew and god daughter. plus the usual MH AND BM.
ok my aunt who has been hounding me to be in the wedding keeps forcing herself to be in it. "telling me i will not have any help come the wedding day, 'which is true' because i would have to get myself,4 girls dressed, hair and makeup done on my own. because my mom has past away and my maid of honor has to get ready herself plus get her kids ready. but the reason i dont want to chose her is because i know she will try to run the show and make it her day! plus she is already telling me how things r suppose to be. Now of course anyone would say "hey back off this is my day,not yours." but honestly that is not the person i am, and its a lot easier said then done!
then another part of me feels ok we were close and she my moms only sister.
help !!!

I know the general rule is to invite anyone who needs to be at the rehearsal and to invite out of town guests. I am having a wedding of 300 people and about 200 of them are "out of town" (we have large families spread ALL over the country. Do I really have to invite the Out-of-town guests?
Also, all of my bridesmaids & groomsmen are bringing dates to the wedding (I have a wedding party of about 30 right now including ushers, juniors bridesmaids, etc.) Should their dates be invited to the dinner as well since I can't imagine what they'd be doing a forgein city by themselves?
Thank for your input ahead of time!
